Although the board is food safe, it is wood and therefor suseptable to staining, such as rasperries, or if wine is spilled. It will show knife marks is sharp edges are used. For best results in keeping your board looking like new, after cleaning wipe entire board with a small amount of oil. This can be a butcher block oil, sold in most hardware stores or online, Beeswax cutting board oil or a cooking oil i.e. olive oil etc. Note: if using a cooking oil, be sure to think about if that oil has a smell to it, as it will transfer to your board.
- Never submerge your board in water
- Wipe clean with water and mild soap
